About Ricardo Pedroso

Hello, I'm Ricardo Pedroso. I'm painter, illustrator, drawing and painting teacher and lawyer. I already drew since very small, and I remember that used to draw with crayons on the walls of my house, around three years old, and my mother and father used to get very angry with such drawings.
When I was between 6 and 7 years old, my mother was called to school for a private meeting with my first-grade teacher. After that meeting, I remember my mother began to keep my drawings in a folder, which she proundly used to display to the whole family, friends and neighbors.
Generally, what I loved to draw were cars, planes, helicopters, old houses, some buildings that had some interesting architectural design, palm trees and also Brazilian coniferous trees of the species Araucaria angustifolia, but according to my teacher, I always drew with more details than other children of my age used to draw.
But when I was about to complete 8 years old, my mother discovered she had cancer, and she suffered for over 1 year, and died in 1991. The drawings folder has been lost, and I continued to draw, what bothered the teachers, because students failed to pay attention in class to see me sketching on paper.
Once, when I began to attend the fifth grade, already around 11 years old, some school students brought me a pornographic magazine and asked me to draw the images contained therein. The drawing was brought to the director's room, triggering a series of disorders in my school life, which was not going well after the death of my mother.
From that event, I began to be poorly regarded by the school, which gave me a lot of penalties for indiscipline, culminating with the repetition of the fifth grade and expulsion from school at 12 years old. Since then, never more I took seriously my drawings and I was trying to eliminate all the delay in my student life.
After extricate me from problems in school, completing the Middle School, I started working as an apprentice in a small auto service, finished the High School, studied Law, worked in the juridical department of a company, was trainee in some law firms and became a lawyer.
But after a few years working as a lawyer, I decided to return to my origins: Drawing and painting. Currently, I'm teaching in a drawing and painting course called Recriarte, in São Paulo city, Brazil.
